Sensitization Workshop for Women Agricultural Cooperatives and Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) on Climate Smart Agricultural Technologies at Kubau and Chikun LGAs of the state.
As part of the SAPZ objectives to promote gender-inclusive agricultural practices and enhance the resilience of women farmers to climate smart agriculture, Kaduna SAPZ has held a Sensitization Workshop for Women Agricultural Cooperatives and Women Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) on Climate Smart Agricultural Technologies at Kubau and Chikun LGAs of the state.
The workshop is aimed at creating awareness on climate change and its impact, climate smart agricultural technologies as well as the importance of women participation in agriculture.
Through the workshop, women are being provided with the knowledge and necessary tools to adopt climate smart agricultural technologies. This is meant to contribute in enhancing household income, food security and provides jobs, which forms part of the major objectives of the SAPZ program.
The Commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture, Murtala Dabo, represented at the workshop by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Abba, assured participants of Kaduna State Government’s commitment and full support for women inclusivity in the SAPZ program.
