Kaduna Records Major Milestone at the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair
The Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) Program Kaduna has successfully concluded its participation in the 47th Kaduna International Trade Fair, held from 6th–15th February 2026 and organized by the Kaduna State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.
As one of Kaduna State’s most important annual economic platforms, the Trade Fair continues to provide a strategic avenue for promoting investment, strengthening public-private partnerships, and showcasing the state’s competitive advantages across key sectors.
This year’s theme, “From Reforms to Results: Economic Transformation Through Sustained Local Content Development,” strongly aligns with the core objective of the SAPZ Program, which is fundamentally reform-driven and designed to transition agriculture from subsistence-based production to a structured, investment-ready agro-industrial ecosystem.
Through its Agro-Industrial Hub (AIH) and Agricultural Transformation Centre (ATC), the program aims to create practical pathways for linking farmers to structured markets while delivering world-class infrastructure for agro-processing, value addition, storage, aggregation, and logistics. In this way, SAPZ represents a concrete shift from policy reforms to measurable economic results.
Throughout the ten-day event, the SAPZ stand attracted significant attention from potential anchor tenants, agro-processors, logistics operators, off-takers, and delegations from several states across Nigeria. The SAPZ team, led by the State Program Coordinator, Abbas Sani, provided detailed briefings on the operational framework of the AIH and ATC, clearly demonstrating how the integrated model is structured to unlock value across agricultural value chains, with the initiative receiving widespread commendation for its clarity, coordination, and investor-ready design.
Importantly, the progress and growing confidence in the SAPZ Program are further strengthened by the active institutional support of the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of the Governor, Senator Uba Sani, who has consistently demonstrated strong commitment to ensuring that all necessary processes are streamlined, inter-agency coordination is efficient, and enabling infrastructure is prioritized to accelerate the operationalization of the Zone. This steady and practical support underscores a shared dedication to delivering the program’s development objectives for the overall benefit of the people of Kaduna State and Nigeria in general.
In addition, interest at the fair extended beyond Kaduna State, as participants from other states not only explored investment opportunities but also extended invitations for SAPZ to participate in their respective trade fairs. This reflects growing national recognition of the program and confidence in its potential to drive sustainable agro-industrial development.
As first-time participants in the Kaduna International Trade Fair, SAPZ Kaduna can confidently describe the outing as highly successful, with the program recording strong engagement with significant awareness and visibility, and the initiation of new partnership conversations that will further advance agro-industrial investment in the state.
With Kaduna’s strategic location, strong agricultural production capacity, supportive policy environment, and government-backed infrastructure, SAPZ remains well positioned to deliver long-term economic transformation and sustained local content development, with a view to building a competitive, inclusive, and investment-driven agro-industrial future for the state.
