The Kaduna SAPZ Program has successfully conducted the Pre-Bid Conference for the Design, Build and Operate (DBO) contract for its ATC at Kuzuntu in Dusten Wa, Kubau LGA and AIH along Kaduna-Abuja Road, Chikun LGA.
Marked by a 3-Day Activity, the Pre-Bid conference comprised of a 2-Day visit to the sites where bidders expectedly examined the site terrain, location and neighbourhood for ground truthing as well as obtained all necessary information for preparing the Bid.
Day-3 had bidders taken through a technical session, chaired by the SAPZ National Infrastructure Engineer, National Coordination Office, Engr. Maruf Olalekan Ajenifuja and the Kaduna State SAPZ Program Coordinator, Mr. Abbas Sani. The technical session is meant to clarify issues and provide appropriate answers to questions from the bidders.
The major objective of the Pre-Bid conference is to ensure that bidders have a thorough understanding of the SAPZ Program requirements, visualize and know the gaps before submitting bids. This is key considering that the ATC and AIH are the building blocks of the SAPZ program, designed to be a centre of excellence, employing an integrated and holistic approach to Agro-Industrial development.
The ATC and AIH were designed to have agro-business linkages between them for a successful SAPZ program in Kaduna state.
